What a GP needs to decide, document, and assemble before the first LP conversation. The legal documents themselves are fund counsel's work, not Blueprint's, and this page is explicit about where that line sits.
Fund formation involves real legal drafting, the limited partnership agreement, the offering documents, the subscription agreement, and Blueprint does not generate any of it. What this checklist covers is the layer around that legal work, the decisions that feed it and the materials that get assembled alongside it, so counsel is drafting from settled terms rather than terms still being negotiated deal by deal.
Work with counsel to develop the commercial terms and understand their legal effects. Some decisions will evolve during formation or negotiation. Keep an agreed current version and update dependent documents when those decisions change.
These are documents a GP can build directly, in parallel with counsel's drafting rather than waiting on it.
Compare the same measure and date across the summary, terms sheet and deck. If figures differ, resolve an error or explain why both are valid. Keep proposed terms visibly separate from agreed ones.
Domicile choice, entity structure, the LPA itself, the subscription agreement, and side letters are fund counsel's documents. Blueprint does not draft them and this checklist does not attempt to replace that work. What belongs on a checklist is engaging counsel, a fund administrator, and an auditor early enough that the terms above are settled by the time drafting starts, not renegotiated mid-formation because a decision got made too late to feed into the documents already in progress.
