Institutional Readiness
Blueprint measures how complete your room is for the LP you are raising from, not how good a manager you are, because a completeness measure is more useful, and more honest, than a single number pretending to answer that second question.
A score is tempting to build and easy to want. It is also a claim Blueprint is not in a position to make honestly. A single number out of 100, or a percentile against other managers, implies a level of certainty about fund quality that no tool, including this one, actually has. What Blueprint can measure honestly is completeness: how much of the room is built, what is missing, and what to do about it. That is a narrower claim than a score makes, and it happens to be the more useful one.
A document review can show what evidence is available and where it is incomplete. It cannot settle how a manager will perform or whether a particular LP should invest. Blueprint keeps that distinction visible by tracking assembly and open work rather than turning them into a manager-quality score.
The readiness measure combines four kinds of progress: data room documents, DDQ answers, resolved findings, and operational diligence. A separate coverage map shows how the material relates to the diligence framework. Use both to see what is assembled and what still needs attention. Completing that work advances the measure; it is not a judgment about the fund’s investment quality.
An LP knows the difference between a room assembled this way and a folder of PDFs.
Use the completeness view to decide what to work on next. A completed draft still needs review, and a filled folder does not certify the practice described inside it. The measure helps organize preparation; it does not replace the GP’s responsibility or the LP’s judgment.
