Blueprint Intelligence / Data Room and DDQ / What should a VC fund data room index contain?
Data Room and DDQ
A useful index names every file, identifies its current version and makes missing or pending material visible.
An institutional room is not judged by file count. It is judged by whether an LP can locate the current evidence, understand its status and reconcile it to the manager’s claims.

Use a compact evidence set that lets the reader test the answer instead of relying on the assertion alone.
A folder tree is not an index when an LP cannot tell which file is authoritative.
Label supported facts, partial evidence and missing information separately. Precision is more credible than unsupported completeness.
Export the LP view and test every link before the room opens.
Record the source, responsible owner and effective date for every material statement. Recheck it whenever the underlying evidence changes.
